Privacy Policy

At Amulet Studios LLC ("Amulet Studios," "we," "us," or "our"), we care deeply about your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit our website or use our products and services.

1. Our Apps

Amulet Studios builds the following mobile apps ("Apps"), each covered by this Privacy Policy:

  • Blocky's Blitz — a reflex/mini-game arcade app, intended for a general audience (ages 13 and up).
  • Sealed — a time capsule journal app that lets you lock photos and entries behind a future unlock date. Sealed uses your device's built-in biometric authentication and stores your content encrypted, locally on your device.
  • Nubkins — a virtual pet care-taking game, offering optional in-app purchases, processed through the Apple App Store / Google Play and our payments provider, RevenueCat.
  • Color Flood — a color-matching puzzle game where you flood the board with color to solve each level. Displays advertising through Google AdMob and offers optional in-app purchases, processed through the Apple App Store / Google Play and our payments provider, RevenueCat.
  • DearMe — a private journaling app that encrypts your journal entries. Offers optional in-app purchases, processed through the Apple App Store / Google Play and our payments provider, RevenueCat.

Blocky's Blitz, Nubkins, Color Flood, and DearMe are intended for a general audience (ages 13 and up); see our Terms of Service for age requirements.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Information you provide directly: When you contact us, fill out a form, or sign up for updates, we collect your name, email address, and any other information you choose to share.
  • Usage data: We may collect anonymized information about how you interact with our website, such as pages visited and time spent on pages.
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, and general geographic location (country/region level).
  • Purchase information (Nubkins, Color Flood, DearMe): if you make an in-app purchase, transaction and receipt data is processed by Apple/Google and RevenueCat to validate and manage your purchase.

For Sealed specifically: biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint) is processed entirely by your device's operating system — we never receive, see, or store your biometric data. Photos and journal entries you add are encrypted and stored locally on your device; we do not have access to this content, and it is never uploaded to our servers.

For DearMe specifically: your journal entries are encrypted; we do not have access to this content.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • Send updates about our products and services (only if you've opted in)
  • Improve our website and offerings
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Ever.

4. Cookies & Tracking

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience. These may include:

  • Essential cookies: Necessary for the site to function properly.
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors use our site (we use privacy-respecting analytics tools when applicable).

You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work as intended.

5. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services such as form processors or analytics platforms. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We only work with services that treat your data responsibly.

Our mobile apps Blocky's Blitz and Color Flood use Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) to display advertising. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to serve ads, subject to your consent choices. See Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google processes this data.

Our apps Nubkins, Color Flood, and DearMe use RevenueCat to process in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat receives purchase receipts and transaction data necessary to validate your purchase. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by law. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months unless you request deletion. Content you create in Sealed (photos, entries) is stored only on your device and is retained for as long as it remains on your device — we have no ability to access, retrieve, or delete it on your behalf.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

  • Accessing the personal data we hold about you
  • Requesting correction or deletion of your data
  • Opting out of marketing communications
  • Lodging a complaint with your local data protection authority

8. Children's Privacy

All of our apps — Blocky's Blitz, Sealed, Nubkins, Color Flood, and DearMe — are general-audience apps intended for users 13 and older, consistent with our Terms of Service. Our website is likewise not directed to children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our apps or our website. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at hello@amuletstudios.com and we will delete it.

9. Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure.

Sealed encrypts your journal content locally on your device. Because this content is never transmitted to or stored on our servers, we are unable to recover it if you lose, reset, or uninstall the app from your device — please see our Terms of Service for more information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
